Sid Nguyen

Hi!!! My name is Sid Nguyen and I’m just have a passion for technology. I completed my Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert.  I recently picked up my 41^st certification. My last one is from VMware as a VCP. I also have Project Management Professional from PMI and ITIL Foundation from Exin.  I am also a CCSP, CCVP, CCNP, MCTIP Exchange 2007 & 2010; Windows 2008 Enterprise + System Administrator in addition to 7 MCSE’s, 5 MCSA and GCIH from GIAC. I've always wanted to be a CCIE and I've always had the hunger to learn and grow both technically and professionally.  I've tried to make develop my technical skills to be versatile in an ever changing field.  I currently completed over 60 certification exams from some of the most respected companies in this industry. In my spare time besides being a full-time dad I’m also a gear head. From building a 850HP car, to modifying muscle cruisers, drifting, road racing, or riding sport bikes, I love to learn and understand how things operate.

I am working on my own virtual world. This site is made from technology that I have learned and is completely powered by me. I've been working in the IT world for over 9 years but yet I still feel that there is much more to come since this is STILL only the beginning. I've worked for large companies like IBM, to military engagements, to financial markets. In the end, my drive has always come from doing what I love for a living.

With every new technology I learn, I develop the skills here. I've built a virtual world powered all by the support of my family and friends. My NOC includes a full Cisco Rack consisting over 14 devices. My LAN is powered with a GIGABIT infrastructure. VMware Vsphere, Redhat Linux, Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Exchange 2010, Cisco Routers/ASA, Citrix Metraframe Presentation Server, IIS, AD, VPN, etc. are some of the technologies that have been implemented, tested, configured all within my NOC. I purchased SidWin.Com and SIDtechs.Com to be used as testing center for what I have learned so please take into consideration these sites are in constant process of development. .  I currently live in New Orleans, LA (Home of the 44^th SUPERBOWL CHAMPS!!!) but I have ventured to over 46 states.  Even so, there is definitely no place like home.  Tai Terry Nguyen  is our oldest son.  He came to use on March 8th, 2007 weighing in at 7 pounds 8 oz with a height of 21.25 inches long.  1 week later I left and returned home with my CCIE.  He's our lucky Golden Piggy!  His sister was born on August 20th, 2009 weighing in at 8 pounds and 20 inches long.  Her name is Tam Teresa Nguyen.  She's a happy Water Buffalo and they are constant reminder to me, to never stop trying to be better every day.
